115th IVC: MSSN set to host over 10,000 participants in southern Nigeria

​The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), B-Zone, which acts as the coordinating body for Muslim students across the seventeen Southern States of Nigeria, has officially announced the details for its 115th Islamic Vacation Course (IVC).

This major youth convention is scheduled to take place simultaneously across three centers in the southern region of the country, running from December 23, 2025, through January 1, 2026.

The theme for this year’s intensive, 10-day programme is a unifying declaration: “We Are All Responsible” (Kullunā Mas’ūlūna), a concept intended to emphasize the collective duty of individuals, families, and institutions in fostering a morally upright and socially responsible Muslim community.

MSSN B-Zone anticipates a massive turnout, with projections suggesting the event will attract over 10,000 participants. This diverse group will comprise students at the secondary and university levels, young professionals beginning their careers, and established community leaders from across all 17 southern states. The course is a well-established tradition aimed at nurturing disciplined and morally conscious youth.

To effectively manage the vast number of attendees, the IVC will be held at three strategic locations: the primary center will be located at the Proposed Al-Ummah University site near Imolisa Village in Ogun State (serving the South-West region); a second center will be hosted at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State (catering to Edo and Delta states); and the third will be at the Al-Usrah Complex in Port Harcourt, Rivers State (covering the South-South and South-East zones).

The curriculum for the camp is comprehensive, designed for both spiritual and practical development. Key features include sessions dedicated to Qur’anic memorization, scholarly lectures, hands-on skill-building workshops, crucial leadership training, and interactive mentorship programmes, all underpinned by activities focused on moral reformation and character development.

The MSSN B-Zone has also provided registration details, listing tiered early bird and late registration fees tailored for children, secondary students, undergraduates, and adults, with specific rates set for the Rivers and Edo/Delta centers.

Furthermore, the MSSN B-Zone is actively seeking partnerships and sponsorships. The organization has extended an invitation to corporate bodies, development organizations, faith-based foundations, media houses, and philanthropists to collaborate and support the 115th IVC. Such support is framed as contributing to a century-long legacy of producing well-rounded young Muslims who positively influence society.
