Ramzy Abu Ibrahim released after detention, welcomed home by community, News Live Nigeria reports.

Ramzy Abu Ibrahim, who had been detained by security operatives in Nigeria, has reportedly been released and returned home, according to social media posts and statements from associates.

In a post on Instagram, a host wrote, “It was an honor & privilege to receive my brother Abu Ramzy Ibrahim in my home after his release from the security and intelligence agencies.”

The release comes after days of public pressure and advocacy. Civil society groups and Muslim organizations had called on the Federal Government to ensure his immediate release, citing concerns over due process and human rights.

Ramzy, long a leading voice within Nigeria’s Palestinian community and active in public commentary on the Israel–Palestine conflict, had reportedly been arrested from his residence in Abuja by agents believed to be members of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. At the time, neither his family nor public authorities knew his location or the reasons for his detention.

He had lived in Nigeria for more than 30 years and was seen as a prominent advocate for Palestinian rights within the country.

Although no official statement from security agencies confirming the release is yet public, the social media post and reception by friends strongly suggest that Abu Ibrahim is back in civilian custody and safe.
