Police officer allegedly shoots dead POLY IBADAN student for smoking weed

Panic struck as a police officer on security detour in the Shoprite mall, Ring road, Ibadan, Oyo State on Sunday, July 25, allegedly shot dead a Final year student of Ibadan Polytechnic, identified as Tuned after caught smoking Weed.

According to multiple reports gathered, the incident occurred in the evening when the deceased and his friend were allegedly caught smoking weed by police officers attached to the mall.

Tunde alongside his friends were caught in the smoking restricted section of the mall smoking, after which they were approached by the police attached to the mall.

Tunde was reported to have just signed out from the Polytechnic of Ibadan on Friday alongside his cohorts.

In a statement with one of the onlookers, “he was drunk before coming to the mal which led to how exercised such behaviour.

Many students of polytechnic Ibadan have gathered at the entrance of the mall, ready to disrupt the daily activities of the mall, even with military personnel on guard.
