Super Eagles of Nigeria have disappointed football loving Nigerians as it could not stop Partey’s boys from qualifying for World Cup.
The Super Eagles failed to secure a 2022 FIFA World Cup ticket after playing 1-1 draw with visitors Black Stars of Ghana at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja.
The first leg game in Kumasi had ended in a barren draw leaving the Ghanaians to qualify on the away goal rules.
Captain Thomas Partey drew the first blood early in the first half to put Ghana in front before William Troost-Ekong slotted in a penalty to restore parity.
All efforts to break the Ghanaian defence proved abortive as Super Eagles break the heart of millions of Nigerian football fans.
