Justice Tanko Muhammad resigns as CJN, News Live Nigeria reports.

Justice Tanko Muhammad has resigned as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

It was reported that he resigned on Sunday night on the grounds of ill health.

Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad CFR, born 31 December 1953, is a Nigerian jurist, who served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria since 2005 and the Chief Justice of Nigeria from 2019 to June 2022.

He was formerly a Justice of the Nigerian Courts of Appeal.
