Children’s Day 2022: LEAMSP, Oyo Celebrates Tomorrow’s Leaders, Advocates Better Future for Every Child, News Live Nigeria reports.
League of Muslim School Proprietors Worldwide, LEAMSP, Oyo zone has advocated a better future for every child as it marked this year’s Children’s Day.
This year’s Children’s Day with the theme, A Better Future for Every Child, was celebrated at ADS Primary School, Alagbon, Oyo on Friday 27th May, 2022.
Reading his speech after the sumptuous match pass by various schools in and around Oyo metropolis, Mr Adeniyi Rasheed Hameed said in order to walk the talk of this year’s theme, concerted efforts must be exerted by all stakeholders to ensure a better future for our children.
Adeniyi who represented Oyo Zonal coordinator of LEAMSP called for collaboration of all authorities in the areas of children upbringing, purposeful training and development.
“Children are the precious gifts from God. It doesn’t matter the sex and physical state or condition of the child. These children are the future of many generations.
As such, attention must be paid to their spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and social wellbeing”, he added.
Children’s Day is a fun day with a serious message. International Children’s Day offers us an opportunity to promote and celebrate children’s rights that will build a better world for them.
This year’s theme, “A Better Future for Every Child” is a wake up call to urge the public to advocate, celebrate and promote children’s rights to secure the future of every child.
Adeniyi therefore condemned, in strong terms, killings in Nigeria, particularly children who are the future and glory of the country.
“The gruesome killing of one Harira and her four children in Anambra state by the IPOB is totally unacceptable, and barbaric.
We therefore call on the Nigerian government to do everything humanly possible to ensure all our children are safe, for a better future”, he concluded.
