Edil-Kabir: Let’s work at one indivisible nation – Governor Akeredolu preaches as he felicitates with Muslim faithful

Today is a day of jolly for all Muslim Ummah across the world to celebrate this year’s eid-el-Kabir, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State used the eid spirit to urge residents of the state to be steadfast and committed to an indivisible country.

While urging the Muslim faithful to pray for peace and harmony in the country, Governor Akeredolu appealed that everyone allows the spirit and lessons of the season to reflect not only in the lives and the nation.

This felicitation message was conveyed in a release by the Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde made available to News Live Nigeria.

The governor felt that the celebration “brings to mind the significance of sacrifice and love.”
and that love and harmonious relationships must be disported among Nigerians to enhance unity in the country.

“Understanding that unity is strength, let us use this occasion to offer ceaseless prayers for the growth and development of the country through sustained peace,” he implored.

The governor also warned the generality against overzealousness urging them to celebrate with caution by avoiding crowded gatherings.

He charged them to follow strictly safety protocols of the Covid-19 pandemic to contain the spread of the deadly virus in the wake of the third wave.
