JUST IN: UI begins vaccination of students and staff against Covid-19

The Management of the University of Ibadan has kicked off the vaccination of students and staff of the institution in a bid to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the university community, NUESAPRESS reports.

This was made known by a circular obtained by NUESA Press, notifying all students and staff of the Faculty of Education of the date and time the Covid-19 Vaccination Team from the University Health Services (Jaja Clinic) will be present in the faculty to dose the Covid-19 vaccines.

According to the circular, the vaccination exercise in the Faculty of Education starts on Tuesday, 24 August 2021. This is to include all academic and non-academic staff as well as students of the faculty.

Recall that NUESA Press earlier reported that the Management of the University was set to vaccinate all its students and staff following the increase in the cases of death and infection in the University community which led to the deaths of some dons.
