News flash: LAUTECH announces end-of-year closure for yuletide season

By Bukola Hameed

The Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has officially declared its annual end-of-year closure to observe the upcoming Yuletide and New Year festivities.

This institutional recess is designed to grant all staff and students a restful break before academic and administrative duties resume in 2026.

The period of closure will commence on Monday, December 15, 2025.
During this time, the LAUTECH Community is notified that the University will not be accessible to the public, and normal business operations will be suspended.

All staff are therefore mandated to ensure the completion of all outstanding tasks by the closure date. Activities are scheduled to fully resume on Monday, January 5, 2026, when both administrative and academic functions will recommence.

A special note has been included for officers rendering essential services; these personnel will be informed individually regarding their duty rosters throughout the break.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor R. O. Rom Kalilu, took the opportunity to extend his best wishes for a peaceful end-of-year holiday and a prosperous 2026.
The notice was duly released on 13th December, 2025, from the Office of the Registrar.
