In the spirit of Eid-ul-Kabir celebration and the virtues imbibed from the father of faith, Prophet Ibrahim, Imaam Hassan Olowogbola has charged all Nigerians to be dutiful to the country.
Olowogbola made the charge today at Eid ground, Bola area, Oyo while delivering his powerful sermon after the 2-rakah prayer of Eid.
He said being dutiful to this country is the best thing that can happen to its citizens at this crucial moment when everyone is not sure of what tomorrow holds for them.
The Imaam however berated some Muslims’ lackadaisical attitude towards anything that concerns Nigeria’s development, in terms of collection of voter’s card and voting.
“Don’t be apolitical this time, for doing so is tantamount to digging grave for one’s motherland.
Some muslim individuals are either misinformed, or uninformed to believe that participating in democracy is evil. It is not diabolical in any way.
Collect your PVC and vote for the candidate you have strong confidence, believe and trust in.
This is a significant step required towards being dutiful to our dear nation. Perform your duty and leave the rest to Allah to decide”, he concluded.
All Muslim faithful were equally encouraged to emulate Prophet Ibrahim in his dutiful garb, by discharging their duties to Allah.
