In a significant academic development, Professor Sekinat Kola-Aderoju, an Oyo-born historian of repute, has officially assumed duty as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (FAMS) at KolaDaisi University, Ibadan.
Her appointment, which took effect on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, was confirmed through a circular dated Thursday, October 9, 2025, and signed by the University Registrar, Mr. H. O. Adetu.
At a brief but momentous handover ceremony held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Faculty Office, Professor Jendele Hungbo, outgoing Dean and professor of Mass Communication, handed over the leadership baton to Professor Kola-Aderoju.
Professor Hungbo, who served from October 2023 to September 2025, urged staff members to sustain their commitment and cooperation under the new administration, emphasizing unity, innovation, and academic excellence.
In her acceptance remarks, Professor Kola-Aderoju expressed heartfelt appreciation to the University authorities for the confidence reposed in her. She pledged to work collaboratively with faculty members and her predecessor to elevate the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences to greater heights.
The handover ceremony was attended by faculty members and administrative officers, marking a new chapter in the faculty’s leadership and development journey.
