The authority of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo (now Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo) has expressed the College’s delight over the re-election of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE for a second term in office.
Quoting a release signed by the Ag. Registrar/Secretary to Council, Mrs. Olubunmi S. Asunmo, “It is with high spirit and joy that I write on behalf of the Chairman (Prof. Matthew Odedokun) and Members of Governing Council, the Acting Provost, Dr. N. A. Oyewo, other members of Management, Staff and Students of this Institution to congratulate Your Excellency on your landslide and well deserved victory at the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 18 March, 2023.”
“Your Excellency Sir, it should be placed on record that the principle of good governance which you demonstrated during your first term in office has really spoken a great deal for you and propelled your re-election for second term in Oyo State which indeed, is a rare feat.
We therefore pray that the Almighty God would continue to use Your Excellency for the good of our dear State.”
While acknowledging the confirmation of the worth and acceptance of His Excellency to the generality of the citizens of Oyo State, the release further states, “It is now crystal clear that by your victory at the polls, the transformation agenda of Oyo State Roadmap for Accelerated Development (2019-2023), which foundation has been solidly laid in the last four (4) years would now blossom and take our dear State to the next level of development.”
The College leadership further reassured His Excellency of their unalloyed support in the task of consolidation and expansion of the good works of this administration while praying that “God Almighty would continue to lead you aright, grant you protection from all evils and success during these next four years that you would steer the ship of our dear State.”
