TETFUND BOT member commends Emmanuel Alayande University of Education’s resource management

Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, the Vice-Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUE), Oyo, has received high praise for the judicious utilization of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) resources.

The commendation came from Hon. Sunday Adepoju, the TETFUND Board of Trustees (BOT) Member representing the South-West zone, during a familiarization visit to the university’s Erelu Campus on Tuesday, November 5, 2025.

​Hon. Adepoju, an Eruwa-born politician and former parliamentarian, lauded the Vice-Chancellor’s performance, describing him as a “blessing” to the institution. He emphasized his personal commitment to the university’s success, stating, “I am here with my team to see things for myself as the Southwest Representative on the TETFUND BOT… his success is my success, and I am sure I will do all within my reach to support him.”

The BOT Member also commended the Federal Government’s continued commitment to strengthening tertiary education through TETFUND’s intervention programmes, noting the tremendous benefits received by institutions in the South-West zone.

He specifically praised Professor Olaniyan’s accountability and effective management of the funds. Hon. Adepoju concluded his address by urging all staff to fully support the Vice-Chancellor and his team in their efforts to elevate the university’s standing.

​Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olaniyan, expressed his profound gratitude for the visit and the consistent support EAUE has received from TETFUND since its days as a College.

​”We have committed ourselves to building an institution that we can be proud of in line with the vision of our proprietor, the Oyo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde,” Professor Olaniyan stated.

He assured the delegation on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Ayoade Ogunkunle, Council, Management, Senate, Staff, and Students that they would “continue to make judicious use of all you provide for us.”

​During the visit, Professor Olaniyan highlighted various TETFUND-sponsored projects currently underway, and the TETFUND team was later taken on a tour of the ongoing sites.

​The Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju Asunmo, delivered the closing remarks, appreciating the team for their visit.

​Hon. Sunday Adepoju’s team included Engr. Taiwo Luqman, Southwest Zonal Coordinator, TETFUND, and Mrs. Maria, Public Relations Officer.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by key members of the university management, including the Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju Asunmo; Bursar’s Representative, Mr. Amos T. Okunade; University Librarian, Dr. Olatundun O. Oyewumi; Director of Works, Engr. Jimoh A. Bello, FNSE; Director of Procurement, Mr. Taofik A. Balaro.

Others are the TETFUND Desk Officer, Dr. Oloyede Ojo; Director/ICT, Dr. Omolara O. Adeboye; Director/Professional Practice, Dr. Olusegun Adeagbo; Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye; and Senior Engineer, Engr. Olufemi Akindele.
