2023: Makinde flags off door-to-door campaign in Oyo

By Bukola Hameed

Ahead of the 2023 governorship election, the Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has flagged off door-to-door campaign in Oyo town.

Governor Makinde said, “…we flagged off the door-to-door campaign to solicit the support of our people to vote for PDP once again like they did in 2019.

We were in Oyo town and held a town hall meeting with PDP stakeholders and leaders in Oyo Zone in preparation for the official flag off of our campaign in our dear state. We will be holding these town hall meetings in all zones of Oyo State.

Makinde who alluded to the fact that his government has done a lot of projects promised during electioneering for the 2019 election, said at least, 80 per cent has been actualised but a few things are yet to be done because no system is perfect.

“So, the consultative meeting and the town hall meeting for our 2023 campaign are what we have started in Oyo. I want to tell you that the way you supported us in 2019 is the same way we want you to aggressively work for us for the 2023 election.

“The Omituntun 1.0 we started in 2019 will get terminated in May 2023 and we will begin Omituntun 2.0 by then and end it in 2027”, he concluded.
