NPFL: Akwa United embark on victory parade

The newly crowned winner of Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), Akwa Ibom United of Uyo has said that it will embark on victory parade of the new cup today Monday August 2nd, 2021.

In a statement  signed by the club’s Media Manager, Mfon Patrick on Sunday, the club enjoins all its fans within and outside the state, to join the Victory parade by 11am.

Mr Patrick maintained  that,  the parade will kick off at Nwaniba Water Fountain, through Edet Akpan Avenue (Four Lanes) to Nsikak Eduok Avenue (Two lanes) to IBB Avenue, down to Atiku Abubakar Avenue, to Ikot Ekpene Road, straight down to Ibom Plaza, through to Oron Road, to Nwaniba road through Dominic Utuk Avenue to terminate at Wellington Bassey Way Round-about.

The club stated that, all its fans should grace the occasion with ‘white and orange’ as dress code.

AKWA Ibom United won its first ever NPFL cup on Sunday after thrashing Mountain of Fire(MFM) football club 5 goals to 2.
