National Council of Muslim Youths Organisations, NACOMYO has commiserated with Oyo State Government, family, Olubadan-in-council and Muslim Ummah over the passage of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
This is contained in a condolence message in Ibadan by Coordinator, NACOMYO, Oyo State Chapter, Alhaji Dawood Afolabi.
The organisation prayed to Allah to forgive Oba Adetunji and reward him with paradise while praying also that He give the royal family as well as Ibadan indigenes, home and abroad the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
NACOMYO described the monarch as a selfless leader, a role model and a conscious Muslim who gave all his best to ensure that Ibadan continues to gain prominence in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
The organisation noted that Oba Adetunji was a great leader whose tenure of less than five years was full of positive development to Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
NACOMYO urged the people to take solace in the fact that the monarch lived an impactful life and such should be a lesson that no matter how long one lives, the effects on others should be paramount.
