Alayande Varsity, Oyo appoints Taofik Balaro as new director of procurement

The Governing Council, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, has appointed Mr. Taofik Ajibola Balaro as the institution’s new Director of Procurement.

According to the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo, his appointment takes effect from 1 April, 2025

In a release made available by the University’s Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye, Mr. Taofik Ajibola Balaro, the new Director of Procurement who hails from Oja-‘ba Ibadan, Oyo State, was born on 26 August, 1969. He attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan between 1991-1996 for his OND and HND in Purchasing and Supply respectively. He obtained his MBA (Marketing) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in 2012 and thereafter proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye for his B.Sc degree in Purchasing and Supply. Currently, Mr. Balaro is pursuing his M.Sc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

The new Director of Procurement who had served as Chief Procurement Officer; Assistant Chief Procurement Officer at the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State, and Store Officer at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus, Eruwa, Oyo State is an Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM) and Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN). He has attended many seminars and conferences, and he is happily married and blessed with upwardly mobile children.

The Registrar, while congratulating the new Director on behalf of the Council Chairman, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle, advised him to justify the confidence reposed in him. She wished him a successful tenure of office.
