A don, Dr Qomorudeen Solahudeen has emphasized on provision of economic opportunities, respect for communal norms and values as some of the ways to promote community relations.
He stated this on Sunday, while delivering a lecture entitled “Community Relations in Da’wah Advocacy”, at a one-day da’wah seminar organized by The Muslim Congress, Ibadan North local government at As-sabbaq College, Bodija Ibadan.
Dr Qomorudeen, who is the Head of Department, Mass Communication of Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun state, stressed that community may not develop where the belief, custom and culture of others are not respected.
He added that opinion leaders and community stakeholders have great influence on audience interpretation of messages.
Speaking on a first topic “Start up strategies for small and medium scale business”, with lecture delievered an entrepreneur, Pharm Zainul-Abideen Abdulganeey said creating a successful business model is essential, whether you are starting a new venture, expanding into a new market, or changing your go-to-market strategy.
He added that we can use a business model to capture fundamental assumptions and decisions about the opportunity ahead and setting direction for success.
In his address, the Wakil, TMC Ibadan North, Ustadh Tirimidhi Oyegoke, advised members to use what they have learnt in everywhere they are and also improve on their community based activities.
