The Mufassir of Oyoland, Alhaji AbdulHadi Adebayo Ishola died on Thursday this week at his residence in Oyo at the age of 71.
According to News Live Nigeria’s findings, Alhaji AbdulHadi’s death came at a time nobody expected, as there were no signs of weakness, sickness or that, the end was nigh.
Baba, as he was fondly referred to by his children, led the observation of Ishai in his mosque on Wednesday and went to sleep without any discernible catch-22.
Stunningly, one of the children, Kamaldeen AbdulHadi, told our correspondent that “Baba Mufassir woke early in preparation for fasting on Thursday. He took the pre-dawn meal, Sahur, after which he reclined on his chair for a nap. In this posture, “the Angel of death entered, un-announced, and took Baba away”. When it was time for the dawn prayer, Subh, Baba was called…but couldn’t respond, as he was already with his Lord”.
Meanwhile, the chief Imaam of Oyoland, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Ajokidero has described the deceased who was turbaned the new Mufassir of Oyoland on 2nd August, 2011, as a person whose entire sojourn on earth was built on piety, contentment and asceticism.
Imaam Ajokidero recounted how they both have perfected plans that on Friday, the Mufassir would lead the Jumah Prayer at home (in Oyo), while he (Chief Imaam) would attend the turbarning ceremony of the new Chief Imaam of Ogbomosoland, Alhaji Talihat Yunus Ayilara. He however prayed that Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaus.
Mufassir AbdulHadi, whom the children said would be remembered for his sterling legacies of sound monotheism, watering family tree and indifference to injustice, was survived by three wives, children and grandchildren.
