Governing Council of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education appoints pioneer registrar, bursar

The Governing Council, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo has appointed Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo and Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola as the institution’s pioneer Registrar and Bursar respectively.

According to a press release made available by the University’s Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye quoting the decision extract signed by the Council Chairman, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle, “this is in accordance with the statutory provisions outlined in the THIRD SCHEDULE Statute No. 1 Section 13 (1-2) of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo’s enabling law and the acknowledgement of the exceptional performances of both Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo and Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola during the interview processes for the positions of Registrar and Bursar respectively.” Their appointments take effect from April 2, 2024.

Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo, the new substantive Registrar was born on August 15, 1964. She attended Iwo Grammar School, Iwo and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Educational Management from the University of Ibadan.

Asunmo joined the service of the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo on January 1, 1990 and has over thirty four (34) years cognate experience with notable achievements in the Registry department of both the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo and Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.

She is a Fellow, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria; Member, Nigeria Institute of Management; Fellow, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and Fellow, Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Professional Administrators (ANCOEPA). Mrs. Asunmo until her appointment was the Acting Registrar of the University.

The pioneer Bursar, Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola was born on June 20, 1967. He attended Lagelu Grammar School Ibadan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with options in Finance from the University of Ibadan respectively.

Ojetola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); an Associate of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACIS); Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).

Before his appointment, Mr. Ojetola served as the Bursar, The Polytechnic, Ibadan between March 25, 2019-March 24, 2024. He is a staff member of the Oyo State College of Agriculture, Igbo-Ora where he was the Director of Internal Audit.
