Governors, NA Members, Others Commiserate with the Ajimobis

As the remains of the former governor of Oyo state, Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, who died on 25 June, 2020, was laid to rest at his Oluyole country home at 10 am on Sunday the 28 June, 2020, governors, deputy governor, members of the National Assembly have continued to pay their last respect to the late Senator despite their tight schedules.

Those who have gone to the late former governor’s house to sympatise with his family are Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State; Muhammad Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State; Mr Rauf Olaniyan, Oyo deputy governor; Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State; Dr Obafemi Hamzat, deputy governor, Lagos; AbdulRahman Abdulazeez of Kwara State.

Governor Sanwo-olu, in spite of his very tight schedules, came all the way from Lagos to condole with the bereaved family of Ajimobi.

Governor Ganduje came all the way from Kano to pay his last respect to the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi. Ganduje who described Senator Ajimobi`s death as not only shocking but devastating to him and the nation said he was a detribalised leader and a pillar of national development.

Others who travelled to Ibadan to commiserate with the Ajimobis include Lagos state speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Chief Adelabu Adebayo Adekola, Senator Teslim Folarin, Honourable Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, Shina Peller and Akin Alabi.
