The Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen of Nigeria had unveiled a political platform named Ta’awunu Political Forum (TPF) as an avenue to checkmate election into different public offices in Nigeria.
The pioneer congress of the Political Forum which holds in Iwo on Sunday has been described as the first of its kind in the history of any Islamic Organization in the Southern part of Nigeria.
The chairman of TPF Comrade Abideen Muslim speaking at the pioneer congress reaffirms the commitment of the Political Forum to provide an alternative as people are already tired of frequent maladministration of the two leading Political parties.
Speaking at the congress, Abideen said the political forum though not yet a political party is neither for APC nor PDP. It has emerged to produce the best among the people to represent their interest, unlike what is very common in a political party in the selection of party loyalists to represent the masses for party interest.
According to a statement accrued to him, he said; “The belief by some people that religion has nothing to do with politics is very wrong, in fact, the Prophet, was seen as a good administrator in Medina that’s why they entrust their affairs with him, and there is a particular secretary established to listen to people’s need since he is not just to teach them religion but to be impactful in their life entirely.”
He added that “we are not APC or PDP; we stand to bring out the best among us to represent us”
