Jungle Justice: RCC truck crushes woman, as irate mob sets vehicles ablaze

A woman was today crushed by a truck belonging to the RCC at Sabo axis of Oyo-Ogbomoso express way. The truck’s number is AA219XF.

“The woman died immediately”, an eyewitness said.

The tragic incident, according to eye witnesses, occured at about 11am when the okada rider was trying to maneuver his way through a muddy portion of the road. In the process, the motorcycle swerved , leaving the woman crushed and, the rider sustained minor injury.

Consequent upon the incident, the enraged mob burnt seven trucks belonging to the Reynolds Construction Company, RCC working on Oyo-Ogbomoso express road.

News Live Nigeria gathered that the woman is Mrs Wulemat Shittu of Ajimapose compound, Saabo, popularly known as Iya Olobi. Her biological son, Maruf Shittu was the rider.

When our reporter visited Opabode Hospital, Oke Oroki where Mr Maruf was taken to, he was told that the man has just been discharged.

Meanwhile, the driver of the truck immediately took to his heels to escape being lynched by the enraged mob who trooped in from nowhere.

Mama Olobi has since been buried around 2pm, News Live Nigeria reliably gathered.
