Kwara governor presents 2021 budget, promises prudent management of public resources

The Governor of Kwara state, Abdul Rahman Abdul Rasaq has presented the 2021 budget before the state house of Assembly today, 18th December 2020.

The budget which is estimated at #123, 091,  307, 468  would prioritize the new minimum wage, food security through the promotion of agriculture, school rehabilitation, investment in the ideas of the youths through Kwaralearn Initiative and Infrastructural projects.

According to the governor, the budget which is 7.35% bigger than the 2020 budget would also cater for the rehabilitation of sports and health facilities, among others.

In his words, governor Abdul Rasaq said: “Our commitment to prudent management of the public resources remain unshaken. We will also at all time prioritize the welfare of people while every segment of our society is accorded their right.”
