The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, MSSN, B-Zone will on Saturday 11th September, 2021 hold her programme tagged Annual Symposium.
The symposium billed to take place at International Conference Center, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Abeokuta, Ogun state themed Saving A Nation on the Precipice, has as its keynote speaker, Rt Honourable Dimeji Bankole, former Speaker, House of Representatives, under the chairmanship of the Honourable Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila.
A release made available to News Live Nigeria, says, “In its bid to educate, inform and sensitize its teeming members and members of the public on contemporary topical issues relating to nation building, national integration and development and mutual coexistence, the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) B ZONE conceived a socio-political cum economic platform where such issues are presented for informed analysis, deliberation and exposition.
“The platform, simply tagged ‘’MSSN B-ZONE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM’’ was piloted in the year 2012 in Lagos State and had since been hosted by all the nine (9) states within the zone’s jurisdiction, namely Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, Lagos, Edo, Delta, and Bayelsa with tremendous successes that continue to influence positive change in the polity, being a veritable avenue of aggregating public opinion.”
Other speakers at this year’s symposium who will do justice to the topics, Saving a Nation on the Precipice: Between Re-federation and Seccessionalism and Instability on All Fronts: Facing the Fate of a Falling Giant are Professor Sola Olorunyomi from the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, and Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, Vice Chancellor, Ahman Patigi University, Kwara State respectively.
The chief guest of honour at the occasion is His Excellency, (Dr) Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun state.
