Muslim News calls on OIC to form Muslim army for the protection of Aqsa

Twenty four Muslim countries under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC met in Morocco in 1969, a month after an arson inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque that destroyed part of the roof and the 800-year-old pulpit of Salahuddin. They vowed to protect the Muslims’ third holiest mosque from further attacks.

Today, the OIC now has 57 member states from four continents but sadly, with all their arsenal, they have failed to protect the Masjid Al Aqsa which they had promised to protect 54 years ago.

Right in their faces, the Zionist occupation forces keep desecrating Masjid Al Aqsa, denying Muslim worshippers access to their mosque especially in the month of Ramadan, subject them to assault. As the attacks on innocent Palestinians continue at every Ramadan, their leaders in OIC, Arab League, only condemn, every time, without action.

Sadly, non Muslim countries who are not even Arabs have shown more solidarity for the Palestinian cause. They did not only condemn the unfair treatment of Palestinians, they walk the talk – tackle the fraudulent Israeli regime and its allies in the US, UK, France etc without minding whose ox is gored. They have used every lawful means including football to speak up for Palestine.

It’s high time Muslim countries, the Arab league woke up from their slumbers and form a unified Muslim army, like it was during the Ottoman, that will defend and protect Masjid Al Aqsa from the terrorist state of Israel. Imagine Pakistan, Iran, Algeria, Egyptian and Turkiye soldiers in Jerusalem to protect Muslim worshippers in Al-Aqsa? These countries are among the best in military might in the world today. Turkiye, for instance, is changing the face of modern warfare with her drone, which has been felt everywhere, except Jerusalem, in Aqsa.

On behalf of the innocent people of the world, we at Muslim News Nigeria calls on the OIC member states who will be having an emergency meeting on Saturday, April 8 to discuss incursion and attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshipers therein, to consider forming a formidable Muslim army in the fight against Israeli occupation of Al-Aqsa. The time to act is now.
