Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation has launched the first phase of her ‘Back to School Project’ on Thursday, 6th October, 2022 in Oyo town.

The programme which targets vulnerable children in five local government areas of the state is billed to provide basic school materials such as school bags, sandals and writing materials to 500 pupils.

“Back to School Project is purposefully to ensure that vulnerable pupils are not left behind in having an equal right to basic education in the Oyo community. This is also a chance to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations are well implemented in the urban and rural areas of the community.

Back To School project will see to the cause of providing basic materials for nothing less than 500 pupils in the five Local governments of Oyo state, as a whole. Our projection is to put smiles on the faces of the pupils who have been lagging amongst their mates because of the inability to access basic writing materials in their various schools.

Yesterday, the outing was a successful one at Oyo West Local government, L.A Town School, Idi-Ope, Oyo, Oyo state, where nothing less than 54 pupils benefited from our handful donations. In the coming days, we hope to cover the other areas needed for the completion of our project”, Hajji Saheed OmoIyaKunmi concluded.
