The authority of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo has commended the Director, Dan Baba Autos and Logistics, Alhaji Abdulsemiu Kolawole Salaudeen over his recent repair of the deplorable Oroki-College road, making it motorable for College and Community users.
Recall that Alhaji Salaudeen has been consistent in the repair of the said road without making any publicity over it.
In what the College Management considered as a rare display of benevolence by this philanthropist, the Management, represented by a high-powered team made up of the College Ag. Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi S. Asunmo and College Librarian, Dr. Serifat M. Asiru paid a thank you visit to the office of the businessman.
Delivering the Ag. Provost, Dr. Nelson Aderemi Oyewo’s message, the Ag. Registrar expressed the College Management’s unquantifiable appreciation to Alhaji Abdulsemiu Kolawole Salaudeen. She later presented a letter of appreciation and an award of recognition to him while the College Librarian finally prayed for him, his family and business.
The letter reads:
APPRECIATION LETTER
I write this letter on behalf of the College Management and the residents of the Oroki-College road and in particular, the staff and students of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo to express our deepest appreciation for your constant benevolent gestures towards mending the deplorable road.
Your efforts have not gone unnoticed again. Your commitment to the community is truly commendable and we are fortunate to have someone like you who cares deeply about the well-being of the people around you.
We are particularly impressed with the enormous resources that you have put together to make the road motorable, especially at a time when the country is facing an economic crunch. Your generosity has brought immense relief to the staff and students of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, who were previously denied the luxury of safe and comfortable transportation to school by okada riders.
The impacts of your efforts extend beyond the road itself, as it has brought joy and renewed hope to the communities. We are thrilled to see the road in good condition today, Tuesday, 9 May, 2023 and we cannot thank you enough for your continuous support.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering commitment to making our community a better place. You have truly made a difference and we are proud of all you that you have done for us.
Responding, Alh. Abdulsemiu Kolawole Salaudeen thanked the College Management team for finding out time to appreciate him. According to him, “when my brother, Tajudeen Fasesan hinted me that the EACOED Management would be visiting me to appreciate me, I said that was unnecessary.
Reason being that I am only doing what God has programmed me for. I am not doing it for any gain but to ease the stress of our people. I thank the Ag. Provost, Dr. Nelson Aderemi Oyewo and you representing the College Management.
The award given to me is highly cherished and shall remain evergreen. I am most grateful”, he concluded.
