Wife of the Governor of Oyo State, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde has joined hands with the Al-Mu’minaat (The Believing Women Organisation), Oyo State chapter, to bring joy to widows and underprivileged.
In a heartwarming collaboration aimed at uplifting the widows and underprivileged individuals, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, the esteemed First Lady of Oyo State, joined hands with the Al-Mu’minaat Organization, Oyo State chapter, to orchestrate a benevolent relief programme on March 29, 2024.
This compassionate initiative, which took place in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, illuminated the lives of over 40 widows and less privileged members of the community.
The Al-Mu’minaat Organisation, alongside its dedicated team, played a pivotal role in identifying the most vulnerable widows and women in the city and ensuring the seamless execution of the programme.
The atmosphere was charged with unity and empathy as beneficiaries shared their tales of hardship and resilience, expressing how the relief packages would alleviate their suffering.
In her address to the gathering, the Ameerah of Al-Mu’minaat, Hajiah Rafat Bakrin, extended profound gratitude and commendation to Mrs Tamunominini Makinde for her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of the less privileged in the state.
The beneficiaries, overwhelmed with gratitude and relief, expressed special appreciation to the donours and coordinators of the relief packages for deeming them worthy recipients.
