Oyo governor seeks clearance for seven commissioner-nominees

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde yesterday sent seven names as commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly for clearance.

The seven names of the commissioner-nominees were sent to the Oyo State house of Assembly on Tuesday.

A source close to the House of Assembly said the list was delivered yesterday evening after plenary.

Six of the nominees are returning. They are Seun Ashamu (son of the former House Speaker); Akinola Ojo, Prof. Musibau Babatunde; Faosat Sanni; Prof. Daud Sangodoyin and Adeniyi Adebisi.

Mrs. Toyin Balogun, who was women coordinator of the Omi Titun 2.0 campaign organisaitn, is the only new comer among the seven.

It could not be confirmed if the list contained their proposed ministry. The governor is also expected to announce Secretary to the State Government soon.
