THURIST to Pantami: Ignore the storm and continue the ‘music’

The Ta’awunu Human Rights Institute-Nigeria (THURIST) has described the United States publication linking the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to international terrorist Group Al-Qaida as a wingless allegation that cannot even fly, as it fails till this very moment to substantiate such with any evidence circumstantially admissible to the allegation levied against the Hon. Minister Isa Ali Pantami.

This was disclosed by the Chairman Ta’awunu Human Right Institute, Barrister Sulaymon A. Tadese yesterday while addressing members at an extraordinary sitting of the Human Rights Institute in Iwo Osun State, describing such allegation as an attempt to oust the Jurisdiction of the Nigerian Law, which has not pronounced such or criminalised it.

“It is consequential however that a mere ill allegation is not expected to flow within the confinement of a country where justice leads and the law rules” he said.

He added that “THURIST wishes to note that we have our established law in Nigeria operating the length and breadth of the Nigerian Legal System, sound and promising enough, to criminalise, convict, discharge and acquit; clearly provided the nullity of any allegation not criminalised or pronounced same under the Nigerian Law”

He explained further, assuring the Hon. Minister of Communications and Digital Economy that the Institute will not avail any alien law any opportunity to defeat the course of justice in Nigeria.

“THURIST also assures Hon. Minister that the on going onslaught is just a storm in a teacup dead on arrival, as this is an allegation outside the Jurisdiction of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
