Following the wanton destruction of public properties by the hoodlums hiding under the cover of #ENdSARS protest, the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, has come up with a viable bunch of solutions to ending the escalated civil unrest.
The apex Muslim council in Nigeria admitted that every reasonable citizen is devastated by turn of events which has gradually tilted towards ethno-religious dimensions.
Proffering lasting solution to the ongoing upheavals occasioned by the #ENDSARS protest, across the country, the NSCIA propounded that peace should be embraced and spread by all sane individuals to make the country a habitable home for all.
Discarding violence, in its entirety, is proposed as a panacea to the lingering crises across Nigeria. It said, ” And fear the fitnah (affliction and unrest) that will not smite those who do wrong among you alone. Know that Allah is severe in punishment”.
In times of disagreement, and/or misunderstanding, patience is desired to avert any perilous acts. Repelling hostility with patience goes a long way in ensuring a peaceful and harmonious relationship. “Do not dispute with one another, lest you lose courage and your strength departs you.
According to the NSCIA, to further enhance peaceful coexistence, ethnic prejudice should be eschewed because humans are created from Adam and Eve, unlawful activities by some suspected persons should be reported appropriately and every citizen must be law-abiding to achieve an egalitarian society of our dream.
“The council however, urged all Nigerians to be more prayerful and refrain from sharing or spreading fake or inciting news in the interest of all”.
