Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and his predecessor and now Senator representing Borno Central, Kashim Shettima this morning attended the third day prayer for the repose of the soul of Late Emir of Biu, Umar Mustapha Aliyu.
News Live Nigeria recalls that the late Emir who ascended the throne in 1989 died on September 14 at the age of 79.
The Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai have also led dozens of first class emirs and traditional title holders to attend the occasion.

The Deputy Governor of Borno, Umar Usman Kadafur, and the Chief Of Army Staff Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai both of who hail from Biu are also in attendance.
Other dignitaries include; Senators representing Northern and Southern Borno, Sen. Abubakar Kyari and Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Borno State House of Assembly, members of the Borno State executive council among others.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late emir, Umar Mustapha Aliyu.
