In a prestigious ceremony held at the TMC DAWAH Centre, Ologuneru, Ibadan, Engr. Ayodele Samuel Olusola, a retired Deputy Controller of Agodi Correctional Centre, received the Award of Merit during the 30th Annual State Congress of The Muslim Congress (TMC) Oyo State.
Engr. Olusola was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the transformation of Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan.
Engr. Ayodele Samuel Olusola, a former Deputy Controller of Corrections, was honored with the Award of Merit by The Muslim Congress (TMC) Oyo State during their 30th Annual State Congress.
The event, which took place at the TMC Dawah Centre in Ologuneru, Ibadan, celebrated his remarkable efforts in reforming the Agodi Correctional Centre and providing valuable training opportunities to inmates.
Engr. Olusola’s journey of making a difference within the correctional system began with his dedication to transforming Agodi Correctional Centre. His commitment to rehabilitation and skill development for inmates has earned him well-deserved recognition.
One of his notable accomplishments was the training of inmates in the art of paint making. This initiative not only provided inmates with a valuable skill but also contributed to their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
Additionally, Engr. Olusola organized a comprehensive training program for 109 inmates on baking bread within the correctional facility. Although 97 of them successfully completed the programme, it was a significant step toward equipping them with employable skills for life beyond bars.
Furthermore, his efforts extended to facilitating the establishment of a bakery within the Correctional Centre, providing a sustainable means of livelihood for inmates.
In his acceptance speech, Engr. Ayodele Samuel Olusola expressed his gratitude to The Muslim Congress (TMC) for the recognition and pledged his commitment to becoming a member of the organization.
