EACOED Provost, DR. Rasak Adefabi Lauds Student Leaders on Fight Against COVID-19 Pandemic

The Provost, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Dr. Rasak A. Adefabi, _fien, fcai, J.P has commended students of Ekiti State University in Affiliation With Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo who recently donated two (2) big College Awareness Banners to the College Management as a support on fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a release made available by the Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Provost, Wale Adeoye, the students who spoke through their leaders led by Mr. Ariyo Kazeem Olawale commended the Rasak Adefabi-led-Management on its stylistic manners in relating with students. He made a specific reference to security, provision of nose masks, issuance of identification cards and constant dialogue with students in moving the College forward.

“In complimenting the Management’s efforts on curtailing of COVID-19 pandemic, we the entire student body of Ekiti State University in Affiliation With Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo hereby donate two (2) big College Awareness Banners to the College Management as our own support on fight against COVID-19 pandemic,” he submitted.

Responding, the College helmsman, commended the student leaders and the entire student body for their thoughtfulness.

According to him, “this is unprecedented as it is on record that this is the first of its kind in students’ history. In some quarters, it is either we have students calling for the heads of Management members but having students who have right senses of leadership deserve huge applauds”.

Speaking further, the Iseyin-born technocrat and administrator expressed his delight that the collaboration on the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic was a reflection that the message being passed from the top was getting to the grassroot. “You have told us that we have hope in you all”, he stated.

No doubt, the pandemic is still living with us. It therefore behoves on us all to synergize towards fighting the pandemic. Our strong joy is that “you have moved away from the order of violence, aggression and you have stepped up in a joint effort at moving the College to greater heights. On behalf of the Chairman, Governing Council, EACOED and the Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, I sincerely appreciate you all.”

The team which was led by the Assistant Director/Full-Time Degree, Dr. Sola Adediran had the Dean, Student Affairs, Mr. Toyin Ogundare, Sub-Dean (Degree Students), Mr. Omoniyi Adigun, Administrative Officer 1/Full-Time Degree, Mr. Sefiu Adekola and EKSU/EACOED student leaders on the entourage.
