Social giants, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram have been temporarily down across the globe, without prior notice.

It was observed on Monday afternoon by millions of users that the three applications, which are all owned and run by Facebook, all completely stopped working at about 04:30 pm.

WhatsApp has however posted a message acknowledging the lack of access to its platform via its official Twitter handle.

“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment.

“We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.” the statement read.
