Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo begins admission into degree programmes

The Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Oyo State, has commenced admission into its approved degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement invites interested candidates who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 150 marks and above to apply for admission into the institution. Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to seek admission.

The College noted that candidates who did not initially choose the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, as their first choice institution can still apply by effecting a change of institution on the JAMB Admission Portal and selecting their preferred degree programme offered by the College.
The degree programmes, which are fully approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), are offered across several departments.

In the Special Education Department, the programmes available include Communication and Behaviour Disorder, Gifted and Talented, Learning Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Physical and Health Impairment, Rehabilitation Education and Visual Impairment, all leading to the award of Bachelor of Education degrees.

In addition, the College offers a wide range of teaching subject degree programmes spanning the sciences, arts, social sciences and vocational education.

These include Agricultural Education, Business Education, Fine and Applied Arts, Home Economics, Technical Education, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Integrated Science Education, Physics Education, Computer Science Education, Mathematics Education, Physical and Health Education, Economics Education, Geography Education, Political Science Education and Social Studies Education. Other programmes available are Christian Religious Studies Education, Islamic Studies Education, History Education, Music Education, Creative Arts Education, English Language Education, French Language Education, Yoruba Language Education, Arabic Language Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Care Education, Adult and Continuing Education, Educational Foundation and Management, as well as Guidance and Counselling.

The College also runs Bachelor of Technology Education programmes with options in Automobile Technology, Building Technology, Electrical and Electronic Technology, Metal Work Technology and Woodwork Technology.
