Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday spoke on the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic.

Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic while making attempt to travel to Germany. He had fled Nigeria following a midnight raid by the Department of State Security (DSS) on his residence in Ibadan which led to the death of two of his aides.

Speaking while addressing journalist at the Polling Unit 019 Ward 08, Ikoyi II, where he cast his vote during the Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas election on Saturday, the Governor said work and consultations ongoing behind the scenes.

“These are very difficult times for all of us. I can assure you that people are working behind the scenes.

“At occasions like this, it’s not by how many Press people you call.

“I’m aware that a lot of people have responses that they are doing quietly and privately and it doesn’t have to be a public conversation,” Sanwo-Olu said.
