Imam calls on parents to be responsive as schools resume in Oyo state on Monday

By Usman Akin

The Chief Imam of Anwar-Ul Islam Mosque, Sanga Oyo, Alhaji Fatai Balogun, has urged parents to be responsive towards their wards resumption.

The Imam in his khutubah, Friday sermon of 16th September, 2021 said that as the schools are about to resume, parents should prepare very well to procure all the necessary school materials for their wards.

He admonished parents to eschew materialistic life style at the detriment of education of their children.

He said instead of parents to buy expensive clothes, cars and other material things, they should invest in the education career of their wards for the future benefit.

Imam Balogun said a parent that invests on his child has exterminated old age languishing, adding that parents should enroll their children in a school that they can afford the fee.

” Enroll your children in a school where pristine Islamic education is given priority. Doing so will have a far reaching effect on societal reformation”, he concluded.
