The executive governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde, has has congratulated the newly Recruited 5000 teachers by the state’s Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) on their induction as teachers of the Oyo tescom and urged them to carry out their duties diligently, maintaining that, the future of Oyo State children depends on them.
The governor made this known at the induction ceremony organized for the newly Recruited teachers by the state’s Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) at International conference centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan on Monday.
Makinde affirms that his administration will continue to support teachers and ensure capacity building through training and retraining of teachers.
The event marked the end of zonal induction recently conducted for the new teachers from each zone of the states by Oyo tescom.
Recall that, Oyo state government had in February 2020 announced vacancies for the positions of Subject teachers in the state’s secondary Schools. The state’s TESCOM conducted CBT exams for over 60000 applicants in August 2020 and pegged its cuf off at 50% where 10% of the applicants scaped through.
The Commission released final list of successful applicants in November 2020 and distributed employment letters in February 2021 to the successful candidates.
