MMPN mourns passage of Guardian Photojournalist

The death of Alhaji Najeem Raheem, a photo journalist with Guardian Newspaper has been described as a great loss to journalism profession.

This is contained in a statement in Ibadan by the Chairman, Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, MMPN, Oyo State Chapter,
Alhaji Ridwan Fasasi.

Alhaji Fasasi said the demise of Alhaji Najeem has left a vacuum especially in photo journalism as he was not only a professional but someone who added passion to bring out the best of the job.

He noted that the deceased brought a distinct face to photojournalism in terms of dressing, decency and charisma.

The MMPN Chairman explained that Alhaji Najeem did not allow the pressure of the job to affect his relationship with his creator as he was a practicing Muslim and a kind hearted man to family, friends and relatives.

He prayed to Allah to count the deceased among the forgiven ones and reward him with Aljannah Firdaos.

Alhaji Fasasi who urged family, friends and relatives of Alhaji Najeem to be consoled with the fact that he lived a Godly and fulfilled life prayed to Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Alhaji Fasasi also commiserated with the management of Guardian Newspaper and Nigeria Union of Journalist, Oyo State Council adding that the contributions of Najeem as he was usually called would remain indelible in the annal of history.
