The battle between the federal Government of Nigeria and the National Association of Residents Doctors(NARDS) is taking another dimension as the minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has handed over the dispute between NARDS and FG over to National Industrial Court of Nigeria for adjudication.
The minister gave the NARDS leadership till the end of work on Wednesday 11th August 2021, to convene a virtual meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) to brief its members on the efforts of the Government with a view to suspending its ongoing strike.
The striking doctors under the aegis of National Association of Resident Doctors (NARDS) had declared industrial dispute with the Federal Government and proceeded on an indefinite strike on August 2nd, 2021 over the inability of the latter to meet their demands.
