The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the official fares for the 2026 Hajj season after consultations with stakeholders and approval from the Federal Government.
In a statement issued by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, the Commission confirmed that intending pilgrims from the Maiduguri–Yola zone, covering Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba States, will pay ₦8,118,333.67.
Those from other northern states are expected to pay ₦8,244,813.67, while pilgrims from the southern states will pay ₦8,561,013.67.
Professor Usman explained that the fares are on average two hundred thousand naira lower than those charged for the 2025 Hajj season, a development that offers relief to many intending pilgrims.
Meanwhile, a NAHCON delegation currently in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj service provider, Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, as well as with the transportation company, Daleel Al-Ma’aleem, to ensure smooth logistics and services for Nigerian pilgrims.
The Commission has urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments by 31 December 2025.
