Northern governors hold emergency meeting in Kaduna

Following the current uproarious situation occasioned by the #ENDSARS protests across South Western States of Nigeria, eight Northern governors including Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna, Umara Zulum of Borno and Plateau’s Simon Bako Lalong are holding an emergency in Kaduna

The meeting, being chaired by Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Simon Bako Lalong is being attended by Governors of Sokoto, Yobe, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Gombe, Zamfara, and Niger States, and Deputy Governors of Kaduna, Kano, and Kogi.

The meeting, definitely, is to be proactive in averting the replica of violence, destruction and alleged massacre being experienced in Lekki, Lagos and other parts of the South West.

A communique is expected at the end of the meeting.
