Okonjo-Iweala Wins 2020 WACA International Service Award

Former Minister of Finance in Nigeria, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has won the 2020 International Service Award of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA).

Dr Okonjo-Iweala who disclosed this via her official Twitter handle on Tuesday, November 17, thanked WACA said she was honoured to win the prestigious award.

She tweeted, “Honored to win the 2020 International Service Award of the World Affairs Councils of America. Thank You @WACAmerica for bringing the world to America through dialogue, debate & action! #COVID19 shows us how interconnected the world is & how important it is to be each other’s keeper.”
For 40 years, the WACA National Conference has brought World Affairs Council leaders and members to engage with top government officials, diplomats, business executives, innovators, journalists, educators, and students on the most pressing global issues and policy choices that impact human lives.
