Olubadan Craves Religious Tolerance as TMC, Oyo State Pays Him Courtesy Visit

Members of The Muslim Congress (TMC), Oyo State was on Thursday 12th May, 2022 visited Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Ọba Mahood Lekan Balogun, the Ali Ogungbade II in his palace at Alarere, Ibadan.

The Congress executive members led by its Waali (State Coordinator), Engr. Daud Oladosu congratulated the newly installed Paramount Ruler of Ibadan and advised him to use his exalted position to advise those who are in the positions of authority of the State to embark on aggressive sustainable development and proper environmental sanitation so as to make Ibadan look clean from her current dirtiness.

The Waali reminded Olubadan that the position of authority is a trial from Almighty Allah which must be implemented with justice.

“We sincerely believe your experience as a technocrat, educationist, captain of industries and above all, a politician of high repute who has travelled far and wide would usher in accelerating development in the city of Ibadan and Oyo State in general”, Oladosu submitted.

In his response, His Imperial Majesty Ọba Mahood Lekan Balogun has advised all Muslims in the state to be promoting religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence with the adherents of other faiths as it is the epitome of Islamic religion.

He therefore affirmed his readiness to support all Muslims in the State whenever he is called upon to do so.
