Oyo state government has approved the employment of 692 Education Officers who will teach in the Unity Schools under the Ministry of Education as well as Technical colleges.

This was made known in a Statement signed by Alh. kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan, the state capital.

The civil service Commission boss, noted that, the recruitment into the Commission was unprecedented and first of its kind in the state. Adding that, “with this approval, candidates who attended interviews are to check their status on the state job portal from Saturday, 17th July, 2021. In addition, their letters of appointment will be ready for collection from the middle of August 2021, while they will be expected to assume duties at the Ministry of Education from 1st September, 2021.” The statement reads in part.

Alh. Aderibigbe appreciated the laudable achievement of Governors Seyi Makinde in Education, despite dwindling resources and competing demands.

It would be recalled that, 1475 candidates were shortlisted for Oyo state Civil Service Commission interview in May 2021, out of over 3000 that sat for the cbt exams earlier conducted.
