The Chairman of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, Pastor Akinade Alamu has urged some of the newly recruited Tescom Teachers without Education qualifications, to enroll for Post Graduate Diploma In Education (PGDE or PDE) within two years and get the certificate, for them to be certified as teachers.
Alamu, who stated this on Thursday at Zone 1 Induction/Training conducted for the new tescom teachers, held at Oke Bola Comprehensive High School, NTC Road, Ibadan, informed the news teachers that they have two years before the confirmation of appointment as Public Servant.
He added that, anyone amongst the new teachers who is currently processing his/her Education qualification will be allowed to finish and get certified as Teachers.

The tescom boss categorically stated that, those with Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric) Bachelor of Art(B.A), Bachelor Of Science (B.sc), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Higher National Diploma (HND), should expedite actions on getting their Education qualification before the expiration of their probation period.
It would be recalled that, Oyo State Government employed 5000 new teachers into the state’s teaching service Commission, last year and posted them to Public Secondary schools, earlier in February 2021.
