As part of the measures to ensure Ramadan gains are sustained, Al-Mu’minaat (The Believing Women) Organisation, Oyo East Local Government held her Post-Ramadan Get-Together and appreciated past leaders (Ameerahs) with awards of excellence.

Saturday 5 April, 2025 was a memorable day for the womenfolk in Oyo town, as they came together to celebrate the end of the Ramadan Fasting, with soul-inspiring lectures, Nasheed and other fun-filled activities.

In her lecture titled, Roadmap to consciousness of worship after Ramadan, Alhaja Shakirat Monilola Àbiola advised Muslims, especially the womenfolk to be on their toes to rescue the capsizing boat of humanity. The one time Da’wah Officer of Al-Mu’minaat and currently the Education Officer, emphasised the need to eschew all forms of distractions. “Spiritual development after Ramadan is a vital aspect of maintaining the spiritual growth and momentum gained during the holy month. We must all do away with time-snatchers, particularly digital distractions such as social media, video streaming, gaming and other unproductive hobbies”, she concluded.

While lending her voice to the issue at hand, the former Principal of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education Model School, Alhaja Aleem R. A. expressed dissatisfaction towards some Muslim parents’ attitudes when it comes to raising and mentoring God-fearing children. She berated the decadence level ravaging the entire family structures, adding that, parents must not shy away from their responsibility in order to make the earth a safe haven.
