Think of Nigerians, Hijrah Organisation tells Buhari

Hijrah Organisation of Nigeria, National Headquarters, Ilorin, Kwara State, has urged the Federal Government to think of Nigerians first in anything doing, as buyers and sellers in all categories are not finding things easy.

This was contained in a communique issued by the organization after its weekly meeting in Ilorin at the weekend.

The communique jointly signed by Its Chairman and Secretary, Prof. Yusuf Olanrewaju Badmas and Mallam Imam Abubakar Ayinla respectively, copy made available to newsmen today, also charged the government not to bring more hardship already manifesting on the faces of most Nigerians, for the country to continue to remain united.

The organization, according to the communique, appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, as a father for all, not to allow more deaths in the country, to urgently pay the eight months’ salary arrears owed to Nigeria’s universities staff.

The communique also called on the government, in the interest of continued unity and a sustainable country to see the Nigerian universities staff as Nigerians who have been supporting, and defending the country’s educational system through their teaching and mentoring of Nigerian youths.

“As parents who could not afford to send our children to schools abroad, we appeal to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, as a father for all, not to allow more deaths in the country, to urgently pay the eight months salary arrears owed the universities staff”.

The organisation also strongly warned politicians, especially Muslims, to play politics without bitterness by avoiding violence and thuggery in their electioneering campaigns.

The organization, however, appreciated members for their resilience and support for the work of Allah through the organization, praying that they receive the reward of their efforts in the world and abundant of it in the hereafter.
